Assistance in case of accidents in EU countries

  1. Assess the situation and any injuries sustained.
  2. Immediately notify your assigned manager that urgent medical attention is required. Your manager will direct you to the nearest medical facility.
  3. Bring your identification documents and insurance policies with you. If you’re unable to find them, please contact the HR department.
  4. If the situation is critical, call an ambulance (GMP). Provide the location. If needed, describe nearby landmarks (e.g., well-known buildings) to help responders locate you quickly. Don’t hesitate to ask others for assistance if needed.
  5. Stay calm and apply common sense while waiting for help.
  6. Present your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) and ERGO insurance certificate to the healthcare provider.
  7. If the medical facility requests a letter of guarantee for treatment coverage, promptly inform both your manager and the HR department.
  8. If you are hospitalized or scheduled for surgery, it is essential to notify both your manager and HR.
  9. After receiving treatment, send the following details to the HR department via messaging apps (e.g., Viber, WhatsApp): to send the following information to the HR department:

a. Date, time, and country of the medical assistance;

b. Details of the treatment facility;

c. Diagnosis;

d. Medical documents;

e. Receipts and prescriptions.

10. If the injury is minor, please visit the HR department upon returning from your assignment.
