CMR
CMR, a consignment note drawn up in accordance with the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road, certifies the conclusion of a contract for the carriage of goods between a customer company and a carrier. The carrier is responsible for the integrity and preservation of the goods from the time the carrier accepts the goods for carriage and until the goods have been unloaded at consignee’s warehouse. The carrier is further responsible for checking the correctness of data on the number of package units (colli), marking and package appearance entered into the CMR.
Important message for all cargoGO drivers!
Dear drivers, please keep in mind that i is critical to return CMRs. These documents are key to our operations and withholding them inflicts losses on our company, as we’re unable to invoice our customers without CMRs.
CMR return procedure:
CMRs must be sent every two weeks. You must bring CMRs to any Trelo, Irun AJ, Karlsruhe Truckmasters, or Milan Arvim service office.
You must deliver all CMRs and supporting documents, while keeping one worst-quality CMR copy for yourself (which copies must be delivered upon your return).
All CMRs must be numbered and sequentially stacked into an envelope.
The envelope must bear the following info: driver’s name and surname, truck tractor’s plate number, numbers of transportation documents … to …. and their dates … to … (please see an example attached). The best practice is to put documents for different truck tractors into different envelopes. If one envelope contains same driver’s documents for two truck tractors, this information MUST be stated for each truck tractor, e.g.:
LRF445, CMR 1-6, 2023.11.16-11.28
MOF538, CMR 1-26, 2023.11.29-12.28
Important reminder: If the parties agree that the customer is to keep the transportation documents, their duplicates or copies must be delivered to cargoGO.
We would greatly appreciate your attention to these instructions and your support in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our operations.
