Fraudulent calls and text messages about the return of second-pillar pension funds are spreading
We inform you that recently employees have been receiving phone calls and text messages (SMS) claiming that it is possible to recover second-pillar pension contributions, along with specific instructions on what actions to take. Please note that these are fraudulent schemes. “Sodra” and other state institutions do not handle such matters over the phone and do not send SMS messages asking for login details, PIN codes, to make money transfers, or to open links. We remind you:
- Never log in to any websites via links received in such messages, even if they visually resemble official websites of state institutions or banks.
- Do not disclose personal or online banking login details, one time authentication codes, and do not allow remote access to your devices.
- Always check all information regarding second-pillar pension accumulation or possible withdrawal options only via the official “Sodra” website (www.sodra.lt) and through officially published announcements.
If you have already provided login data or made a money transfer, contact your bank immediately, report a potentially unauthorized transaction, and ask to stop or block the transfer. Also, report the fraud attempt to the police (general emergency number 112).
Additional information: Official and reliable information about the withdrawal of second pillar pension funds will be provided in January 2026, after the possible methods and conditions are approved. Until then, please remain vigilant, do not respond to suspicious calls or messages, and always verify information only through official sources.
