Semi-trailer air springs
Schmitz:
- The hose comes out in the upper part of each air spring; to disable one or more air springs, do as follows:
- Haul in the hose in the upper part of the air spring, wrap it up and clamp it to prevent air feeding into the air spring.
- You may also cut off the pipe and screw the bolt in.

Kogel:
- The Kogel air spring system is a dependent suspension system. If one air spring blows up, the entire side will fall down, which is true for both sides.
- To disable an air spring on the first axle, plug the outlet air spring tube on the second axle.
- To disable an air spring on the second axle, cut out two tubes and interconnect them with a fitting.
- To disable an air spring on the third axle, cut out two tubes and interconnect them with a fitting.
