Wheel replacement
Before replacing a wheel, make sure that all safety rules have been complied with.
- Where possible, only replace wheels on parking areas; otherwise, take out the warning sign and wear a high-visibility vest
- Take care of vehicle’s stability, actuate the hand brake and put chock blocks under wheels on both sides.
- Before replacing a wheel, pour WD40 or diesel fuel over the bolts and unscrew them before the wheel is lifted.
Where to put the lifting jack:
VOLVO FH, Actros, DAF:
The lifting jack must have bearing on a massive metal structure located as close to the wheel being replaced from the inside as possible; please see the examples on the pictures.

SCHMITZ, KOGEL, KRONE:
The lifting jack must bear on the metal plate under the pad.
