Key safety warnings<\/strong><\/p>\n

Compliance with safety regulations is critical for OBU\u2019s uninterrupted operation, your personal safety and preventing road accidents. Strictly follow the directives below.<\/p>\n

Tampering with the unit:<\/strong>\u00a0Opening, dismantling or any modification of the on-board unit structure are strictly prohibited. Any tampering with the unit may result in an irreversible breakage and warranty cancellation.<\/p>\n

Using third-party accessories:<\/strong>\u00a0Only use the accessories (power cable, fixture) that are part of the original delivery package. Applying incompatible or non-original components may lead to unit malfunctions or damage the unit.<\/p>\n

Moisture penetration:<\/strong>\u00a0Protect the unit from water, condensate and any other liquids. Moisture penetration may cause a short circuit and unit failure.<\/p>\n

Handling the OBU when driving:<\/strong>\u00a0Do not perform any action with the unit (set up, view the menu) when driving the vehicle. All necessary OBU configurations must be set up before taking to the road.<\/p>\n

3.0 OBU installation and connection<\/p>\n

Correct installation is the cornerstone of the stable reception of satellite system (GPS\/GNSS) signals and therefore, ensuring accurate charges for using toll roads.<\/p>\n

Step-by-step installation instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clean the surface:<\/strong>\u00a0Carefully clean and degrease the inner windscreen surface in the proposed installation area. The surface must be totally dry.<\/p>\n

Choose the installation spot:<\/strong>\u00a0The best practice is to install the unit behind the rear-view mirror. This position does not hamper driver\u2019s vision and secures the best signal reception.\u00a0Important:<\/strong>\u00a0Place the unit at least 10\u00a0cm away from any metal body parts.<\/p>\n

Assemble the fixture:<\/strong>\u00a0Press the suction cup holder into the OBU until it clicks.<\/p>\n

Attach the OBU to the windscreen:<\/strong>\u00a0To ensure secure attachment, press the suction cup firmly against the clean windscreen.<\/p>\n

Connection to the power source<\/p>\n

After the unit has been attached to the windscreen, connect one power cable end to the corresponding port in OBU\u2019s body, and the other one\u00a0\u2013 to the cigarette lighter socket (supported voltage\u00a0\u2013 12\/24Vdc).<\/p>\n

After OBU has been physically installed and connected to the power source, perform the initial set-up.<\/p>\n

4.0 Initial set-up and configuration<\/p>\n

The unit correctly configured before the journey secures accurate tolling in accordance with your vehicle\u2019s parameters.<\/p>\n

Set up the number of axles<\/p>\n

To open the set-up menu, press the confirmation button\u00a0(<\/strong>\u2713<\/strong>)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Use\u00a0(\u25b2)<\/strong>\u00a0\u0438\u00a0(\u25bc)<\/strong>\u00a0buttons to select the right number of axles in your truck train.<\/p>\n

To save the selected value, press the confirmation button\u00a0(<\/strong>\u2713<\/strong>)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select the vehicle (for Toll Collect only)<\/p>\n

This feature is intended solely to be used with the German tolling system Toll Collect. It allows selecting the appropriate vehicle if the unit is used on more than one vehicle registered with Toll Collect.<\/p>\n

To open the vehicle selection menu, press and hold down the cancellation\/scroll button\u00a0(X)<\/strong>\u00a0over 3\u00a0seconds.<\/p>\n

Use\u00a0(\u25b2)<\/strong>\u00a0\u0438\u00a0(\u25bc)<\/strong>\u00a0buttons to scroll through the list of available state registration plate numbers.<\/p>\n

5.0 Daily operation: signals and indicators<\/p>\n

Lights and sounds are the key methods for communications between the OBU and the driver. Understanding them correctly is critical to monitoring the system state and accuracy of toll payments.<\/p>\n

6.0 Mandatory check before the journey<\/p>\n

Departure checks of the unit are an integral part of driver\u2019s professional responsibility. They allow securing that the toll payment system is fully ready for operation before taking to the road.<\/p>\n

Checklist before the journey<\/strong><\/p>\n

Connection check:<\/strong>\u00a0Check that the power cable is firmly inserted, and the device is powered (the LED light is green or yellow).<\/p>\n

Service activation check:<\/strong>\u00a0Make sure the unit screen displays the service required for your route (e.g., Viapass for a journey across Belarus, as shown on the picture).<\/p>\n

Operability check:<\/strong>\u00a0Wait until the initialisation procedure is complete. The LED light must be green (the service is active) or yellow (the service is deactived). The red LED light is not acceptable.<\/p>\n

Vehicle data check:<\/strong>\u00a0Make sure that the screen displays the correct state registration plate number of your vehicle.<\/p>\n

7.0 Troubleshooting<\/p>\n
