    An on board-unit (OBU) must be connected to the fuse box as specified by the manufacturer.<\/p>\n

    IMPORTANT!<\/p>\n

    The cable supplied for a stationery OBU comprises 3\u00a0wires:
    \nBrown:\u00a0live
    \nRed: constant power supply +12-24V
    \nBlack:\u00a0ignition +12-24V connected to the engine.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” woodmart_inline=”no” text_larger=”no”]To ensure its proper operation, OBU must be constantly connected.     1. STARTING THE OBU<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Once your OBU is connected, the automatic initialisation procedure starts (around 2 mins).

      \n3. Your OBU will not display any information for over 20\u00a0seconds.

            The number of axles displayed on your OBU must at all times be equal to the total number of axles that the vehicle has (tractor + trailer). Long press (2 sec) right > or left <.             Access the settings menu using up\/down navigation button:<\/p>\n

            \u2013\u00a0Set the vehicle\u2019s current maximum train weight.
            \nThis weight is the arithmetic mean of the Maximum Permissible Laden Weight (MPLW) and the Gross Towing Weight (GTW) of your vehicle. Set the weight to the upper or lower limit in 100\u00a0kg increments to comply with current regulations in relation to weight classes.<\/p>\n

            \u2013\u00a0Enable or disable tolling.
            \nBefore taking to the road, check the OBU\u2019s con\ufb01guration. Tolling is enabled by default.\u00a0 The \u201cDEU\u201d service is shown on the main screen.<\/p>\n

            EXEMPTION: You can disable tolling if you have an of\ufb01cial exemption. Illegal enabling or disabling incurs your liability in respect of the German toll charger.<\/p>\n

            \u2013\u00a0Check information about your vehicle.<\/em><\/p>\n

            In the event of your OBU being defective\u00a0\u2013 contact your support, call TRUCK ASSISTANCE 24\/7 and get a temporary toll solution for the country in which you are driving until you receive your new PASSango OBU. (Please note the regulatory deadlines in each country)
            \nIn the event of loss or theft\u00a0\u2013 call TRUCK ASSISTANCE 24\/7 to block your on-board unit.<\/p>\n

            If your OBU is malfunctioning\u00a0\u2013 call Truck Assistance to assess the situation and find possible solutions.
            \nTruck Assistance will block your OBU and reports its malfunction to the Participating Network, if necessary. For this purpose, do as follows.
            \n1. Disconnect your OBU from the connector located on the power cable along the windscreen.
            \n2. Unclip the OBU from its base.
            \n3. Place it in its original packaging or a container of the same type.
